Call for Papers - 13th International ITA Workshop

I have the pleasure to announce, on behalf of the Organising Committee, that the Call for Papers and Sessions for the next year's 13th International ITA Workshop has been launched. This time the event is entitled "ICT-supported collaboration and flexible work as vehicles for stimulating local development, supporting entrepreneurship and building a fully inclusive Information Society", and it will take place in the beautiful royal city of Kraków (Cracow), in Poland, on 4-6 June, 2008. The conference's website is available at www.itw2008.pl .

ITW'08 will look specifically at research on flexible and ICT-supported working models and related challenges, focusing on practical implementations of the research done so far. Organisers wish to raise the level of awareness and real-life applicability of flexible working, especially in the European Union’s New Member States. As a result, establishment of new valuable partnerships between researchers and practitioners from these countries and their more experienced colleagues from around the world is expected. The working character of the event and the broad spectrum of its foreseen audience and speakers will surely increase the conference’s value, participants’ satisfaction, and will let initiate new interesting research undertakings.

All interested authors are invited to submit their paper and session ideas. Details can be found in the enclosed file or directly at the conference's website.

Looking forward to seeing you in Kraków!

The New Global project organizes a Workshop on “Globalisation Strategies and Collaborative Working Environments”

Globalisation is in the heart of EU policies regarding competition, integration, trade, employment and information society. New collaborative working environments driven by strong organizational integration, collaborative culture and advanced application of collaboration tools enable companies to exploit global networking opportunities and compete in global industries. The New Global project explores how globalisation affects the way companies are operating and investigates how even the small companies can respond to globalisation and extend their business opportunities in a beneficial way by establishing new collaborative working environments.

The New Global project will organise a workshop on “Globalisation Strategies and Collaborative Working Environments” at the ICE 2008 conference (see www.ice-conference.org). For this workshop, we are inviting papers. Accepted papers will be published in the ICE 2008 Conference proceedings. Topics of the workshop may include:
